Cheryl Matochik

Cheryl Matochik is the Chief Growth Officer at Third Horizon, where she leads the firm’s health care price transparency analytics and consulting practice. She oversees strategic growth initiatives, client engagement, and business development efforts while serving as a subject matter expert on employer-sponsored health care, payment innovation, and benefits strategy. She also oversees multiple client engagements simultaneously and contributes thought leadership on health care and benefits trends.

Cheryl brings more than 24 years of experience across health care, insurance, and employee benefits, with expertise in strategic planning, product development, business growth, customer success, and data-driven health care strategy.

Prior to joining Third Horizon, Cheryl spent 15 years at The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, where she advanced from marketing communications coordinator to senior vice president. In that role, she led strategic development initiatives for many of the nation’s largest brokers and consultants, managed market intelligence and board-level strategic planning efforts, and helped expand The Council’s scholarship foundation program, which has awarded millions of dollars in academic scholarships to students entering the insurance profession. Earlier in her career, Cheryl held positions with General Electric.

Cheryl is a contributing writer for Leader’s Edge magazine and has been featured as a health care and benefits industry expert in publications including BenefitsPRO and Employee Benefit Adviser. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from West Virginia University.
