Chris Kalvig is the Manager of Market and Risk Analytics at Third Horizon, where he leads risk adjustment modeling for government-sponsored health programs, provider network cost modeling for negotiations, and custom analytics related to service costs and contract analysis. His work helps clients translate complex health care data into actionable financial and operational strategy.
Chris has 12 years of experience in health care data analytics, actuarial services, and predictive modeling across commercial payers, self-funded employers, and government programs. His expertise includes total cost of care analysis, benefit pricing, premium rating, reserving, operational data strategy, and provider contracting analytics.
Prior to joining Third Horizon, Chris spent nine years at The Terry Group, where he provided actuarial and analytics services focused on payer-provider contracting, self-funded employer benefits, and health plan pricing models. He also designed operational frameworks for client-side analytics programs, including dashboarding, training, and data communication strategies. Earlier in his career, Chris held analyst roles with Dot Transportation.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Quincy University.
