Erica Bauer

Erica Bauer is a Director of Community Health at Third Horizon, where she leads research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning initiatives focused on health equity, social determinants of health, and strengthening the health care safety net.

Erica brings more than 16 years of experience spanning health research, nonprofit leadership, education, and professional sports organizations. Prior to Third Horizon, she held leadership roles with the Chicago Bulls, Walter Payton College Preparatory High School, Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy, and Hines VA Hospital. While leading community engagement initiatives for the Chicago Bulls, she developed social impact programs and partnership strategies that generated substantial corporate sponsorship support for community initiatives.

Her expertise includes community engagement, strategic communications, facilitation, dashboard design, and program evaluation.

Erica earned a PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Dayton, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Dayton.
