
President
Greg Williams is the President of Third Horizon, where he leads the firm’s client services and provides strategic consulting to organizations working across behavioral health, substance use disorder payment and strategy, and health care transformation. He advises nonprofits, independent providers, health systems, government agencies, and stakeholder coalitions on policy strategy, alternative payment model design, and transparency in coverage market analytics opportunities.
Greg brings more than 20 years of experience in addiction policy, strategic communications, coalition building, and health finance. At Third Horizon he has led the development of major cross-sector public platforms including the Mental Health Parity Index and The Alliance for Addiction Payment Reform.
Prior to joining Third Horizon, Greg was the Executive Vice President of Facing Addiction, a national non-profit organization. In 2015, to launch this platform he served as the Executive Producer of the UNITE to Face Addiction Rally on the National Mall, an event attended by tens of thousands and later featured in a PBS special that reached nearly 70 percent of American households. He also produced the launch event and television special accompanying the first-ever Surgeon General’s Report on Alcohol, Drugs, and Health: Facing Addiction in America. In addition, Greg is the filmmaker of the award-winning feature length documentaries The Anonymous People, Tipping the Pain Scale, and Generation Found, focused on addiction and recovery in America.
Greg earned an interdisciplinary Master of Arts degree in Health Finance, Addiction Public Policy, Documentary Film, and Web Technology from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production from Quinnipiac University.
