Tanner Johnson

Tanner Johnson is the Manager of Data Client Services at Third Horizon, where he serves as the liaison with the firm’s Price Transparency partners, delivers strategic market insights to clients, and supports the development of Third Horizon’s Price Transparency offerings and Starset Analytics toolset. He helps shape the direction and execution of key analytics and pricing initiatives that support health systems, payers, and government programs.

Tanner has 10 years of experience in health care data analytics spanning actuarial analysis, clinical trial analytics, population health, and value-based payment design. His expertise includes claims analysis, actuarial modeling, ACO management, HEDIS measure reporting, and expenditure and savings projections for Medicare Shared Savings Programs.

Prior to joining Third Horizon, Tanner held analytics and actuarial roles with Commonwealth Health Advisors, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, and Evolent Health. At Commonwealth Health Advisors, he served as principal data investigator for a randomized clinical trial evaluating post-discharge pharmacist-led interventions on hospital readmissions. He also conducted analytics supporting treatment optimization for high-risk atrial fibrillation patients and managed large-scale patient outreach data initiatives focused on cost reduction and improved clinical outcomes.

Tanner earned a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Brigham Young University.
